While I did not get a chance at a more formal introduction at California Trails Day, I did want to pass along my gratitude to both you and your troop for all of the hard work put in on the Slide Mountain Fire Lookout trail. We have not stopped talking about how hard the boys worked and how grateful we are for the guidance they receive through scouting.
We would love to invite you, and the scouts, to come up to visit Slide Mountain Fire Lookout to see what all of that hard work was about. I understand that several of the scouts expressed an interest in seeing the tower and we were all sorry to disappoint. If you are interested in bringing the boys up to Slide, please contact me, or tower leader John Cordi, and we will make sure to make it happen.
Again, thank you and the Boy Scouts for participating in California Trails Day at Slide Mountain. We really appreciate your hard work.
