GVL Updates
Good Morning Scouts and Parents –
In a couple days we will be starting our annual camping adventure up at 7000′ in the San Bernardino Mountains at Green Valley Lake.
Here are the FINAL details before meeting at El Retiro Park on Friday afternoon at 315PM:
Arrive in your Class A uniform with neckerchief (Class B shirt underneath).
The Packing List is attached again for your convenience.
After visiting the Keller Peak Fire Lookout on Saturday morning, we will be hiking down the Exploration Trail that is nearby (see attached). It is a 4.5 mile hike, mostly all downhill.
In addition to all other items listed on the Packing List. Be sure to bring:
- hiking boots
- wool socks
- wide brim hat
- water bottle
- trail snacks
- daypack
The weather should be really nice, low 70’s during the day and mid 50’s at night:

Please bring some extra spending money. For those going on to Action Zipline, suggested tip to the staff is $10/person.
