Court of Honor – June 10, 2013

What a great Court of Honor yesterday.  I am really impressed with all of our Scouts on so many fronts.  First, I love the progress in rank advancements that they are making.  From Tenderfoot through Life Scout, every month, every CoH we are seeing them making progress towards their Eagle rank.
Second, this CoH was done by the Scouts for the Scouts.  From Sean and Ben running the show, to the Patrol Leaders Council planning and running the games, the scouts have really stepped up in making this a boy-led troop.  There are meetings when I step back and just watch and am so impressed with all of them – yesterday was one of those days.
Third, having Joe Oxtoby visiting from England really brought together the international aspect of Scouting.  I hope all of the scouts took something away from that talk.  I also hope we will see everyone more interested in building their brag rag/camp blanket!
Thank you to all the parents that stepped up to get our scouts advanced, plan and set up the Court of Honor and in general support everything we do.  Our troop would not exist without all of you.  Thank you.
