Troop Meetings are generally held the first three Sundays of the month, from 6:00-7:45pm at the El Retiro Park Community Room. There is usually no meeting held on Sundays in which an outing is scheduled.
- Meetings focus on life and leadership skills, and relationship-building. Scouts practice leadership and teamwork by planning activities, organizing/playing games, and teaching each other skills. Scoutmasters act as mentors; they also work with scouts to help them meet advancement goals.
- Meetings always include a flag ceremony, upcoming event announcements and sign-ups, and other Troop business. Activities may include Advancement skills and sign-offs, Merit Badge work, games and competitions, physical fitness, outing planning, and lots of leadership practice. Regular attendance is expected.
- Parents are always welcome at meetings and outings, but parental attendance is optional.
Please note: Electronic devices are not welcome at Troop events – they should be left at home.
