Summer Camp

Troop 718 encourages all new Scouts to attend Summer Camp.  At camp, Scouts are brought together from all across the United States to discover and explore, gain new skills, work on Advancement or Merit Badges, meet and interact with other Scouts, and of course, have fun in the process.

Every year, Troop 718 reserves space for its Scouts with the Forest Lawn Boy Scout Reservation, in Lake Arrowhead.  This camp offers the Pathfinder Program, which is specifically designed to fulfill a number of Rank badge requirements, so new Scouts can advance more quickly.     As Scouts grow with the Troop, they are given the option to attend Forest Lawn or another Troop-selected camp.  Returning Scouts get the opportunity to enjoy higher adventure activities while earning Merit Badges.

The Troop usually holds a Parent Information meeting prior to Summer Camp registration to discuss options, activities, and fees.  Scout medical forms, signed by a physician, are needed prior to registration.  Camps usually cost between $33 and $500, depending on the venue, for a 6 day, 5 night, all-inclusive camp.
