Matthew Burt – 03/22/2018
On March 22 2018 Matthew Burt received his Eagle Scout Rank.
Matthew was one of Troop 718’s Founding Scouts, joining our Troop at it’s inception in 2010. Matthew held several leadership positions, including Quartermaster, Patrol Leader, Troop Guide, Order of the Arrow Representative and Assistant Senior Patrol Leader.
Matthew earned a total of 35 Merit Badges, earning him a Gold Palm. Matthew also served regularly as a volunteer at Beacon Light Mission between 2013 – 2018.
Matt’s Eagle Project was to design and build a “Communication Board” for the South High Track and Field team. He coordinated the effort with the South High Booster Club and Track & Field Coaches. His Project helped to centralize communication between Coaches and Athletes. His Project was completed in August 2017 and took nearly 120 volunteer hours to create. We are very proud of Matthew and his outstanding accomplishment!
