How to Use This Website

You must have a LOG-ON to access certain Troop-private information and forums.  In all cases, communication is to have a respectful tone.  Please refer to Misuse of Website to learn Website and Troop information policies.

PLEASE NOTE: We do not recommend using SEARCH.  If you are using a laptop, you can refer to our Website Directory in the Top Menu.  Cell phones and tablets tend to show drop down menu selections.

Misuse of Website

Reports of misuse, even if unintentional, are to be immediately brought to the attention of the Scoutmaster or the Troop Committee Chairperson.  Misuse includes:

  • Logging on as another member or under a pseudonym, or sharing personal information (without consent) with non-members.
  • Providing website registration information to non-members.
  • Posting inappropriate language or images (see About Troop 718, Youth Protection/Code of Conduct).
  • Using Bulletin Boards, Forums, or other website features, or using member personal information, for anything other than Troop business (i.e. personal marketing or as a vehicle for private, political, or special interests).

How to Update My Contact Info

  • Please notify us immediately if your contact information changes, so you don’t miss out on important communications. See the Update My Contact Information page under the Members menu.

Forgetting Your User Name or Password

  • For some systems, user name and password can be saved.  To retrieve, type the first letter of the user name.
  • If you know your user name only, click “Lost Password” at the Log-On screen.  You will receive an email allowing you to reset.  Always check your SPAM or JUNK folders, because system emails may be directed there.
  • If you forget your user name, please use the red Contact Us button in the left column or otherwise contact Website Administration.

Error Messages/Dropbox Dialog Boxes

  • The 404-Error Message occurs when someone who hasn’t logged in tries to access a member-only web page.   Place the cursor on Members and select Log-on.  Enter your Log-On information.  Scroll down if you forgot your user name or password.
  • Our attached files are stored on Dropbox. When the page opens, click on the “x”in the corner of the dialog box to dismiss the box and view the file.  In most cases, you need to select “download” to print the document.

Downloading Troop Calendar to your Device

  • To download the calendar, you must use the email address you subscribed (or registered) for this website and have a google (gmail) account).  Our Adult Webmaster can help you if you have any issues.

  • For your Android device, follow these instructions ANDROID SYNC.

Using Someone Else's Computer/Logging Off

  • For some configurations, the website will refer to the last user who logged-on.  To access another account from the same computer, the last user must be logged-off the website.
  • To log-off the current user, move cursor over the “Howdy User” in the upper far right corner in the blue bar.  The profile menu will drop down.
  • Click on Log Out.  The screen will open to the log-on screen, indicating the previous user is now logged off.
